Summer Burst captures the intensity of a childhood memory — the sudden, fizzy sweetness of pink sherbet on a warm summer day. That instant burst of flavour, followed by a lingering tingle, is something I’ve never forgotten.
Through expressive, dynamic brushstrokes and layered mark-making, I’ve built depth and movement within the piece. Subtle fragments of script sit quietly beneath the surface, adding a sense of memory woven into the paint.
