There was always one girl in school who had lots of freckles. Kissed by the sun or sprinkled with stars, they're beautiful and should be seen. Who does she remind you of? As with all my portraits I include a little of every colour in their eyes. It connects these important features with the rest of the piece.

I've used heavy watercolour paper of high-quality and acrylic paint which doesn't allow for mistakes, so confidence in my paint strokes is vitally important.
